The Drop (2014). Metaphysical in Film

The Drop ( 2014)

Metaphysical Movie Review by Jacklyn A. LoThe Drop" (2014).

Director:  Michael R. Roskam. Writer: Dennis Lehane.

False Pride

The key phrase in this film is False Pride.

Bob's current life is realized in the harsh environment of Brooklyn, infested with low-level mafia gangs. Bob makes a reasonable living working as a bartender in a pub that was previously owned by Cousin Marv.
At first glance, Bob is a humble guy who is doing nothing but pouring drinks to clients and obeying whatever comes to him. For example, Bob is willing to pay ten thousand dollars to Eric Deeds for Eric's ex-dog's well-being.

Own Value

Simultaneously in the film, we follow the life story of Cousin Marv, a large, unremarkable middle-aged man.

Both protagonists open up in private conversation when Cousin Marv tells Bob of his own great value and the meaning of his "boss chair". His speech is full of pride in himself, which shows him as an undeveloped soul.

In opposition, Bob shows himself to be a mature soul.  He has a different idea of who Marv is. Bob clearly realizes that this pride has no value because it is based on Marv's zero accomplishments. And Bob's answer is very short and clear - the chair, which is of great importance to Marv, is just a chair, nothing more. This plot's situation deserves more than 10 points!

Separate the Tares from the Grain

After all, this episode shows the difference in the energy potentials of the protagonists' souls. One is a young soul full of false pride, and the other is a more experienced soul, able to separate the tares from the grains and draw clever conclusions.

Who am I?

Life is not easy and Bob had some blunders.  And at the end of the film, he wonders if he belongs to God or the Devil, that is, he asks: "Who am I?"

Well, he has a soul, which is definitely moving towards the Light. Because those who have given their souls to Satan have no sympathy or compassion for others, be they humans or animals, but Bob has.

On the topic "Who am I?" the film is similar to such films as Father Stu (2022), Requiem for a Dream ( 2000), Kyle XY ( 2006-2009), and others.

Conclusion

The Drop" (2014) is a thought-provoking movie about human pride, recommended to watch to any independent thinker!

Why doesn't God hear?

Spiritual Father

Our Spiritual Father is an owner and CEO of Four Physical Universes and an uncountable number of Thin Worlds*, where our planet Earth is one of the trillions of celestial bodies.

Higher Hierarch

Our Creator is a project manager Himself involving in multidimensional multi-tasking programs and moving towards his goals and objectives on speed beyond of our imaging. Every fraction of a second of His time is preplanned and organized most efficiently in the benefit of the Higher Hierarch, the Greater Being than Himself.

God

For turning God's attention to a much lower degree problem, such as a human's,  would mean a radical change in his speed; comparable only to the sudden stop of a spacecraft.

Does this mean that He left us here alone?
No way!

 Heavenly Teachers

Besides providing us with physical bodies and a platform of the  Physical Reality, our Creator appointed individual supervisors for us, which some contactees** call Heavenly Teachers.

Heavenly Teachers are energetic (spiritual) entities living in the Higher World in a different dimension than we are.
They have a much higher level of consciousness than any man and not necessarily have a human origin.

 Vision

Most importantly, they have much more magnificent and further vision than any of human.

Like any teacher, they benefit from the students' development and improvement and suffer damage in the event of their regression.

Subtle bodies

Usually, one teacher leads a person from the moment of fertilization of the mother's egg until the end of his physical existence and the disassembly of subtle bodies***.

Also, Heavenly Teachers' have such a high level of consciousness that we too can call him God.

However, do Heavenly Teachers hear us?
Yes, they do!

Spiritual improvement

Can they fulfil any request?
Theoretically - yes, practically - hardly,  as they will respond only on the petition which is in line with our spiritual improvement, but man demands something material typically.

Is communication with our Heavenly Teacher is only one-way?  No.
In the best-case scenario, it's two-way communication.

Message

Heavenly Teachers also can send messages to us.  But, again, can we hear them?

Theoretically - yes, practically - only very few of us. Unfortunately, our current level of consciousness is so low that even those who can catch and recognize a message do not necessarily interpret it correctly.

However, some people get messages from their Heavenly Teachers daily or frequently. These people are inventors, artists, entrepreneurs and even politicians! For example, one of the most exceptional engineers and futurist.
Nikola Tesla didn't hide that he had received his ideas from above. And that "above" was his Heavenly Teacher.

Consciousness

So, what to do that your Heavenly Teacher heard you? The answer is -  an improvement of Your consciousness.

To sum up, we live in a well-organized hierarchy of our Spiritual Father.
If we compare this hierarchy with a corporation, then our God is CEO of it.

As in any big company, General Director operates on higher or strategic tasks and duties; lower degree managers implement His vision communicating with workers on the lower levels.
The better the worker understand the message from the higher level - the better the result.

In a corporation, the quality of communication is higher with better education of the employees, in our world - with a higher consciousness.

*Thin worlds= Intangible worlds

*** Subtle bodies = six thin bodies

Why reincarnate?

While the East, such as India, believes in n reincarnationthe Western world is still oriented towards the concept of one life.
But what if we shall assume that reincarnation exists? What good is this for us?

We are all under the Universal Law of Evolution. That law pushes us to evolute not only by our physical bodies but also by spiritually.

And the chain of lives helps our spiritual beings to slowly but steadily evolute and grow.
But what should we work on to evolve?

There are four main goals to brings us back to physical reality:

1. To increase our Energetic potential

2. To define our Spiritual orientation

3. To gain some Individual skills and qualities, i.e. Individuality

4. To pay for the collected Karma, that is, work on the bugs.

Energetic potential

You won't be able to survive in the Thin world without a proper energetic potential. You have to earn energy enough to survive by yourself and also be capable honestly of paying into a shared pool.

How to gain a higher Energetic potential?

A. Doing any work. Any work will increase your energy potential whether it's physical, intellectual or spiritual
B. Defining and reaching a Goal will bring you an upgrade your energy potential

Spiritual orientation

One of the trickiest reasons for our incarnations is to define our spiritual orientation.
They are two main spiritual directions - to Light and Darkness and one sub direction - degradation.

How to define a Spiritual orientation?

A: Observation of your values
B: Choosing a spiritual direction
C. Making a Spiritual Choice based on your conclusions ( above), analysis of your situation, intuition

Individuality
To be Individual is one of the biggest challenges for any of human. It's much easier to follow a crowd and doing copy-paste movement than to develop your ideas and to be an independent thinker.

How to gain Individuality?

The first step towards Individuality is to ask yourself "Who am I?"

Karma

Karma is needed to gain an understanding that doing wrong for someone else would bring you personal suffering.

Just like in school, work on mistakes is raising a level of the knowledge and grades, so in life, we have to work on life situations to understand what is right and what is wrong and as a reward to achieve an upgrade of our consciousness.

How to avoid Karma?

Before any action, ask yourself if you want to be treated the same way you relate to another.

Kyle XY ( TV series 2006-2009). Spiritual Movie Review - Jacklyn A. Lo

Kyle XY

"Who am I?”

The first key phrase in the Kyle XY ( TV series 2006-2009)  is "Who am I?”

Fifteen-year-old Kyle appears from out of nowhere and asks himself that question: “Who am I?”

Gratitude

Kyle expresses continuous gratitude to his adoptive parents and tries to avoid anything that could hurt them. He is kind to his girlfriend and truly cares about her well-being. Kyle says that "she is perfect".

Unfortunately, Kyle’s attitude toward his parents and friends does not apply to the "normal" teenagers around him.

"Normal" teenagers

The spoiled girls and boys take for granted everything that has been given to them. They look for entertainment in bad relationships and alcohol.

Cynically moving through their lives, they don't bother with kind words for their significant others. For example, Kyle's brother-in-law comments about his girlfriend, "She stinks of sweat".

In the best-case scenario, a "normal" teenager cares about a sport mostly because it represents a chance for him to become "the best". However, this intention is not based on the idea of developing his personal spiritual strength. Rather, it stems from personal pride—the desire to show off and be better than others. This attitude results in separation from others and, in the long run, creates loneliness and frustration.

Unlike his peers, Kyle, when in a problematic situation, thinks about collective justice and benefits for others rather than for himself.

Ignorance

The second keyword in this series is “ignorance”.

Most of the teens ignorantly squander their large inheritances.

Why inheritance?

Our current existence in the human life form is an investment of thousands, or even millions, of spiritual embodiments.

In our previous lives, we worked very hard for the chance to be embodied in a human body. To be human is a reward, which, in accordance with Hindu beliefs, could also be taken back.

Because of some positive karma that they collected in their previous existences, these teens earned the opportunity to live in an economically advantaged environment. Such surroundings provide greater opportunities for personal growth than do developing countries.

Reincarnation

Unfortunately, in the very early stage of Christianity, the concept of reincarnation was cut off and an individual was thrown into the concept of a one-life existence. That has shut down an opportunity for the individual to obtain a deeper understanding of himself*.

As a result, at the current stage, average Westerners seek only a “nice” current life, without looking beyond and seeing the very hard work they have done throughout an uncounted number of incarnations.
